Galata 2 by Devrim Erbil was inspired by the celebrated Instanbul tower Galata, a medieval stone tower constructed several hundred years ago in 1348. This Romanesque style tower was built as a Tower of Christ, a staggering 67 metres high. Galata is a common theme in Devrim Erbil’s work, which can be seen in most of his worldwide collections.
This piece was created as a circular, silkscreen print on plexiglass. It measures 69cm diameter.
